Two new online CME modules – “High Exposure Liability: Errors in Diagnosis – Parts I & II” — feature a physician expert and a defense attorney discussing factors that contribute to diagnostic errors and offering strategies for improving patient care and reducing potential risk.

MSSNY has once again awarded MLMIC’s CME Program “Accreditation with Commendation.” This accreditation term is for six years – the longest period of time for which accreditation can be awarded.

Designed for physicians from all specialties, the New York Health Information Technology Symposium on April 28 will examine issues with EHR technology. The event qualifies physicians for 5 CME credits.

In Network Meetings at multiple locations across New York during April, May and June, MLMIC will present a risk management perspective on “Managing Your Social Media Presence.” CME credits are available.

MLMIC has opened online registration for its March 22 HOD Risk Management Conference in Buffalo. The conference qualifies physicians for CME credit and covers current risk management issues facing all specialties.

MLMIC’s newest online CME-only modules address risk management topics related to physician advertising, telephone triage, electronic health records and voice recognition software.

New risk management CME module – “Back Disorders: Claims Data in the United States” – explores issues and risks associated with the diagnosis and treatment of back disorders.

MLMIC has released an updated version of its Proactive Basic Risk Management Course as part of its ongoing commitment help physicians and other healthcare professionals improve the quality of patient care and reduce potential liability exposure in their practices.

With a focus on risk management education, this year’s Spring Network Meetings address “2017 Healthcare Law Review.” Physicians, medical directors, facility risk managers, office practice administrators, nursing, staff and other healthcare professionals can still register for the six remaining meetings held across the state.
