Greg Hill, the executive director of the New York State Dental Association, is nearing the end of his first year in this role. MLMIC recently sat down with Greg to discuss his tenure so far, his goals for the future and the road he travelled that led him to NYSDA.

In June 2022, Dr. James Galati took office as the 142nd president of the New York State Dental Association, the culmination of nearly 30 years of service to organized dentistry. Dr. Galati, who is a longtime MLMIC policyholder, is also an active member of the American Dental Association and the Fourth District Dental Society. We sat down with Dr. Galati to learn more about his background and his thoughts on the dental industry.

Dr. Gregory Dodd, a dentist at Saratoga Springs Family Dentistry and a MLMIC policyholder since 2003, recently announced that his practice will give $10,500 in scholarships to high school students interested in pursuing a career in dentistry. It was with deep sadness that we learned of the passing of our colleague, Dr. Mark Feldman, after a long illness. For many years, Dr. Feldman led the New York State Dental Association (NYSDA) as its executive director. He also served on the MLMIC Board of Directors. His colleagues remember him as a man of unfailing grace and charm who believed passionately in MLMIC’s mission.

From humble beginnings in Mumbai, India, to leadership roles at every level of organized dentistry, Dr. Chad Gehani is the epitome of a heartwarming success story and a man with a full personal and professional life. Serving as president of the ADA through October 2020, Dr. Gehani led the charge to keep dentists apprised of ever-changing information as the COVID-19 pandemic took hold and provided guidelines and strategies as dental practices began to reopen. We asked Dr. Gehani to share some of his experiences, as well as his thoughts on why membership is important to both the individual dentist and the profession.
