Case Studies Highlight Importance of Veracity, Communication and Detailed Medical Histories
The March 2018 edition of Case Review – a review of case studies for MLMIC-insured physicians and facilities – is now available for reading online. There are two case studies in this issue:
- Case Study #1: “Conflicting Cardiac Clearance Letters Leave a Suit Indefensible.” This case examines how a lack of veracity from multiple parties led to an indefensible case.
- Case Study #2: “Improper Penile Implant Results in Postoperative Infection.” This case highlights the importance of communication between prior and subsequent providers when treating patients with complex surgical and medical histories.
