A sure sign that the summer is drawing to a close is the number of events the MLMIC Dental Team will be heading to in September. It may be bittersweet to say goodbye to long days and warm breezes, but it will be good to see our treasured NY Dental colleagues again! On Monday, September 14, NY County Dental Society is holding an annual membership meeting at its headquarters, located at 622 Third Avenue, 9th Floor, NY, NY, from 5:30 - 8:30 pm. The membership meeting will be followed by a presentation on Management of the Oncology Patient, led by Ariel Blanchard, DMD and general practice residency program director at Weill Cornell. MLMIC is a sponsor and will attend.
The Chinese Americal Dental Association is holding a quarterly study club for its members on Tuesday, September 15, at the Sheraton LaGuardia Hotel, 135-20 39th Avenue, Flushing, NY, from 5:30 - 9:00 pm. The evening will include a presentation on Implant Dentistry, by Dr. Adam Foleck, a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology and Honored Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. MLMIC is a sponsor and will be present at the event, ready to discuss the 10% discount available to CADA members who are MLMIC policyholders.
On Wednesday September 16th, the Suffolk County Dental Society is holding a virtual general membership meeting from 6 – 9 pm. A presentation will follow on Digital Immediate Loads: The evolution of digital dentistry workflows for full-arch implant dentistry, by Thomas Fuschetto, DDS, FACP, a Board-Certified Prosthodontist. MLMIC is a sponsor and will be Zooming in!
MLMIC is sponsoring Nassau County Dental Society’s Shredding and Recycling event begin held on Saturday, September 19, from 12 to 3:30 pm. Come to NCDS’s headquarters, in the North parking lot at 377 Oak St., Garden City, NY. Pre-registration by September 7 is required.
The Ninth District Dental Society is holding a general membership meeting on Wednesday, September 23, from 8 am – 3:30 pm, at the Crowne Plaza Suffern, 3 Executive Blvd, Suffern, New York. It features a three -part educational presentation by Matthew Malek, DDS, a Board-Certified Endodontist and the Director of the post graduate program in endodontics at New York University. MLMIC is a sponsor and will have a table so come by and say hello!
On Friday, September 25, the Fourth District Dental Society is holding its annual CE & Golf Outing at Hiland Park Golf Club 195 Haviland Rd. Queensbury, NY. The CE portion starts at 8 am and golf begins at 1pm. MLMIC is a sponsor, will have a table and a golf foursome, so we hope to see you at the morning’s educational program and then on the links in the afternoon!
MLMIC is sponsoring, attending at presenting at the World’s Fair of Dentistry on Saturday and Sunday, September 26 and 27, which is being held at Terrace on the Park, 52-11 111th Street, Flushing, NY. Organized by the Queens County Dental Society, MLMIC will have a table and MLMIC Legal and Risk Management are delivering a presentation at the World’s Fair of Dentistry on The Role of Language Barriers in Dental Liability Claims on Sunday, September 27.
