Risk Management Consultant — MLMIC/MPG New York

We are currently seeking candidates for a Risk Management Consultant position. In this shared role, the successful candidate will lend their expertise to MLMIC Services, Inc. and MedPro Group.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner and develop strong relationships with insured facilities, physicians, dentists, and healthcare providers to foster development of new and maintaining existing business.
  • Provide CRM consultations for insureds as needed, both medical, healthcare professionals and facility-based clients. This includes on-site risk assessments and gap analysis of hospitals, physician groups and senior care facilities and office practices at company or client request.
  • Provide clinical risk management education and consulting services for the insured client base of both companies.
  • Develop live and online Continuing Medical Education programs for physicians and other healthcare providers.
  • Write articles and case studies for educational purposes and/or company publications.
  • Provide content for new and ongoing CRM informational products and services.
  • Coordinate and implement loss prevention services.
  • Identify areas of liability exposure for MLMIC/MPG and its policyholders and develop recommendations to minimize loss.
  • Create analytical reports and summaries from Claims data.
  • Periodic evening and weekend work, dependent upon client needs and Marketing opportunities.
  • Frequent in-state travel is required, and occasional overnight/out-of-state travel may be necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Nursing preferred)
  • 5+ years of prior experience and experience within a clinical nursing area
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Candidate must live in the NY tri-state area
  • Valid NYS driver’s license
  • Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiency

Preferred qualifications:

  • RN license
  • Master’s degree in healthcare administration
  • Certified Professional in Health Care Risk Management (CPHRM) Certification desired
