We are so excited to share our new rapid application for professional liability coverage!

Now, new dentists can apply for coverage online in just five minutes. That’s right — less than the amount of time it takes to fill a cavity. Here’s what you need to know.

There are six sections to the rapid app:

  • General
  • Education
  • Practice
  • Underwriting
  • Claims
  • Authorization

Here’s what to expect in each section of the application!

In General, you will fill in information like your name, address, phone number, social security number and professional office locations. You’ll also tell us when you want your professional liability insurance to become effective and whether you want a claims-made or occurrence policy. Here’s a closer look at the difference between the two forms of coverage.

In Education, you’ll list the dental school you attended, any other training completed, the professional license(s) you hold and any continuing education or risk management courses you have completed over the last five years.

Under Practice, you will share a bit more about the upcoming year: where you will be working, the nature of your practice, any specialty areas of practice and your activity in professional organizations like the American Dental Association.

The Underwriting page is a short one — just answer yes or no questions about your liability.

More good news — the Claims page will be blank! As a new dentist, you probably don’t have claims to report. If you do, reach out to our team with the contact information below.

Finally, on the Authorization page, you will read the release, e-sign the document and submit your application! Our team will read it and respond promptly regarding your coverage.

At MLMIC, we pride ourselves on providing service like no other. If you have any questions throughout the application process, please contact us at 800-416-1241 or dental@mlmic.com. Our dental underwriting specialists are happy to help!
